175 Assembly Constituencies To Go For Polls On April 13

Notification To Be Issued On March 9

AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections will be held on April 13, 2024, the Election Commission (EC) announced on Thursday. All 175 Assembly constituencies in the state will go to polls on the same day.

The EC also announced the schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, which will be held in seven phases from April 2 to May 7. The counting of votes for both the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be held on May 23.

The EC said that the notification for the Assembly elections will be issued on March 9. The last date for filing nominations is March 16. The scrutiny of nominations will be held on March 17 and the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is March 19.

The EC also said that it will take strict measures to ensure free and fair elections in Andhra Pradesh. It said that it will deploy central forces to ensure security during the polling process.
